TAKE ACTION: Help Zero Waste O’ahu Pass Bill 40

Hawaii friends,

Help Zero Waste O'ahu with the final push for Bill 40 (a single-use plastic phase-out in Honolulu, Hawaii)!

1. Check out the map of the O’ahu City Council districts below. Based on where you live, find the contact info for your Councilmember. Use that info to call and/or email your Councilmember before Thanksgiving and let them know you are a constituent of their district who looks forward to seeing their “yes vote” on Bill 40 at the Dec. 4th hearing. This step is SUPER important because councilmembers listen to their constituents and keep track of how many people call and support or in opposition.⁠⠀

2. Share this and get as many folks to contact Councilmembers as possible.⁠⠀

3. Watch for @zerowaste_oahu's call to action to submit your final round of testimony (anyone can submit testimony, even if they don’t love on O’ahu). We have to wait until the agenda for the hearing is posted online before we can submit. They'll stay on the lookout and let you know when it’s time!⁠⠀
